Internet Explorer FTP
Connect to your domain via FTP with Internet Explorer 6

  1. Open Internet Explorer. Go to "Tools --> Internet Options...".

  2. Go to the "Advanced" tab and scroll towards the middle. Make sure "Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility)" is unchecked. Click the "OK" button and close any browser windows opened.

  3. Re-open Internet Explorer and in the address bar type in the following format: "ftp://yourdomainnamecom:yourpassword@yourdomainname.com".
